Tripoli 26 July 2014:
Thieves managed to break into the Swani Road branch of the Gumhouriya Bank on Thursday night . . .[restrict] and steal LD 1.25 million.
The gang used oxy-fuel cutting equipment to open the safe and grab the money. There was no security at the bank at the time.
This is the latest in a line of bank robberies in the capital, where thieves are taking advantage of the absence of law and order. [/restrict]
