Loading of the first tanker to arrive at Zueitina oil terminal since the lifting of force . . .[restrict]majeure, the Ottoman Tenacity, began this afternoon at around 2 pm.
A senior engineer at Zueitina, Ahmed Laghouri, told the Libya Herald that the tanker arrived in port at 3 am yesterday. He said that once loading was completed the Ottoman Tenacity would carry 1 million barrels of oil – 600,000 of heavy crude and 400,000 of brent crude.
The ship has reportedly been chartered by Austrian oil company OMV. Another tanker is expected to arrive towards the end of next week.
The order of force majeure, imposed by the National Oil Corporation, was lifted at Zueitina oil terminal four days ago. [/restrict]
