Security for tomorrow’s elections is set to be high, with the Ministry of Interior announcing that 40,000 security . . .[restrict]personnel have been designated roles to help ensure the smooth running of the elections.
They will work alongside 12,000 military personnel from the Libyan army to secure polling stations across the country, according to Libyan news agency LANA. The police and military forces will be working to a security plan devised by the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Defence and HNEC.
The Air Force has been tasked with transferring ballot boxes to and from remote locations. [/restrict]
