Tripoli, 13 January 2014:
The husband and daughter of Fatima Abbasi, a congresswoman for Sebha, died in . . .[restrict]a car crash in Ghariyan today, which the politician herself and her second daughter survived.
Nadia Rashid, an independent Sebha Congresswoman, told the Libya Herald that the wreck occurred while Abbasi and her family, her husband and two daughters, were travelling from Sebha. They had taken an unusual route to avoid blockades caused by ongoing clashes in the south.
While her husband and 20 year-old daughter were killed in the crash, Abassi and her younger daughter are currently receiving treatment in Issbaia Hospital. Abassi, who belongs to the National Labaika Party, sustained a fractured neck and pelvis in the crash. [/restrict]
