The new head of the European Union mission In Libya, Nataliya Apostolova, presented her credentials today as EU “ambassador” to the President of the General National Congress, Nuri Abu Sahmain. She was appointed head of the EU mission last May after the previous EU representative Peter Zsoldos returned to work as a Slovak diplomat.
Welcoming her this morning, Abu Sahmain wished her and her team every success in their work and expressed the hope that Libya’s relations with the EU would continue to grow. For her part, Apostolova expressed the hope that the EU would be successful in its efforts to help Libya develop and prosper. [/restrict]
