The Algerian authorities have released two Libyan border guards, apprehended after straying across the border.
The two . . .[restrict]guards were arrested in May after they reportedly accidentally entered Algerian territory. They have been held by the Algerian authorities until their release last week.
Their release was secured by the Algerian ambassador to Libya, Abd Al-Hameed Abu Zahir, according to Libyan News Agency (LANA).
When contacted by the Libya Herald, Zahir declined to comment on the incident. [/restrict]
