Hundreds of Benghazi people . . .[restrict]gathered today in the city’s Tahrir Square to celebrate the passing by Congress of the Political Isolation Law.
The families of those who died during the revolution as well as political activists and others joined the festivities, during which sheep and camels were slaughtered and cooked.
As elsewhere in the country, there has been strong resentment in what is the cradle of the Libyan revolution that officials who were actively part of the Qaddafi regime were being allowed to continue in office. [/restrict]
