Tripoli, 26 April 2013:
A group of Tamazight-language teachers graduated yesterday in Yefren, in the Nafusa mountains. They will teach the language . . .[restrict]of the Amazigh (the Berbers) in schools the town and in neighbouring Qala, both of which are strong Amazigh communities.
They are the second batch of Tamazight teachers to graduate. There are now 97 in total.
Attending the graduation ceremony were the leaders and members of the local council of both towns as well as other teachers.
Teaching Tamazight in schools was not allowed during the Qaddafi regime. [/restrict]
