Benghazi, 27 April 2013:
A bomb went off outside the police station in Benghazi’s Birkah district this morning causing damage . . .[restrict]to the building, according to Mohamed Al-Madani, who heads the investigation unit at the station. No one was killed but three officers were said to be slightly wounded.
The bomb, which exploded around 6 am, was left in a bag outside the building in what has become a standard method of attack in the city over the past couple of years.
The culrpits and the reason for the attack are unknown at present.
It is the third time the station has been bombed. In January, a bag bomb exploded at the back of the building but no one was injured.
