The first training course for former revolutionaries planning to become members of the judicial police starts tomorrow, Sunday.
According . . .[restrict]to the Interior Ministry’s Facebook page, 200 men have enrolled on a course in Tripoli’s Police Academy and a similar number at the Police Institute in Garnadah in the Green Mountains. The course lasts 45 days at the end of which those who pass muster will become full members of the police force but based in the judicial police.
The judicial police run the prisons and provide security for the courts.
Tomorrow’s courses are the first stage in training some 6,000 revolutionaries from all over Libya who have applied to join the judicial police. [/restrict]
