Tripoli, 18 January:
The . . .[restrict]director of the FBI has visited Tripoli to discuss the investigation into the murder of US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his colleagues in Benghazi on 11 September,
Robert Mueller is reported by AP to have had meetings with Prime Minister Ali Zeidan, Justice Minister Salah Bashir Margani and intelligence chief Salim Hassi.
No statement was issued after the FBI’s chief’s low profile trip, but Washington has expressed increasing impatience with the pace of the Libyan investigation into the Benghazi assassinations, which so far, has resulted in no arrests. [/restrict]
