Tripoli, 12 December:
The Prime Minister’s office has announced that at its third meeting, the cabinet decded that what used to be . . .[restrict]known by the old regime as the Masses Media Centre is to be renamed the Nabbous Media Centre.
The move honours the memory of the late,Mohamed Nabbous, the founder of the Libya Alhurra TV Channel. He was killed by a Qaddafi sniper in Benghazi on 19 March last year, while he was trying to take footage of the destruction in the city of Benghazi, as a result of shelling by Qaddafi forces.
