Tripoli, 31 December:
Almadar telecom company has been forced to stop its services in the Bani Walid area after one of its . . .[restrict]stations was destroyed, a post on the Ministry of Communications’ Facebook page said last night.
The report said that an Almadar station between Washtata and the entrance to the town of Bani Walid was attacked with rocket propelled grenades in the past few days.
According to the statement, Almadar has had to suspend its services to the whole of Bani Walid as a result of the attack, and has sent a maintenance team to the area to carry out emergency repairs.
At the time of publication, the Libya Herald had not been able to independently verify the exact events that lead to the suspension of Almadar’s network in Bani Walid. [/restrict]
