Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has invited Libya’s Prime Minister-elect Mustafa Anushagur to visit Turkey. The invitation was . . .[restrict]made yesterday in a telephone call by Erdogan who phoned to congratulate Abushagur on his election as Libya’s new prime minister.
Wishing the new prime minster success, Erdogan said, “We would like to host you in Turkey soon.”
According to the Turkey’s Anatolia News Agency, Abushagur replied that he would like to visit and conveyed his appreciation for Turkey’s support for the Libyan revolution.
The two are reported to have discussed the slaying of US Ambassador Chris Stevens, which Erdogan condemned, saying that he was deeply saddened about it. [/restrict]
