Killing of US ambassador

Dear Editor,

We, the Libyan people, strongly condemn the vicious and violent attack against the American consulate in Benghazi yesterday.

Those criminals do . . .[restrict]not represent Libyan people and their acts do not represent the Islamic teaching of peace that never gives the right to kill innocent people.

Ambassador Stevens and his companions sincerely helped Libyans in their revolution against one of the worst dictatorial regimes. They were helping in the foundation of the new free democratic nation of Libya.

We give our condolences to the families of the victims, and we truly regret what happened.
