Seven Libyans have been freed from Tunisian prisons, after receiving special Eid al-Fitr pardons from the country’s president, Moncef . . .[restrict]Marzouki.
Thirty-three prisoners were pardoned in total; the others are understood to have been Tunisian students. They were chosen for release because of good conduct during their time in prison, the Tunisian press agency TAP reported.
All thirty-three are understood to have been in prison on minor criminal charges. [/restrict]
