By Mohamed Assed.

The official website of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) was hacked yesterday, it is thought by an Algerian hacker.

The hacker breached the servers of the website and completely changed the homepage, displaying a message that read: “Hello, You Just Got Owned. You were owned by LaMin3 DK.” The hacker also inserted a big image of an Algerian flag on the homepage of the LFF.

This incident occurred just 18 days ahead of Libya’s next game against Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in Casablanca, Morocco.  It has added to the pressure and unease on the LFF which has been suffering from management and funding problems of late.
