Tripoli, March 17: It has been reported that a news photographer named as Mohammed Idris Suleiman was shot . . .[restrict]dead at in Sirte on Friday by a militiaman manning a checkpoint.
Sulaiman, who worked for Ajdabiya News, was had been travelling to Tripoli with another photographer Abdulkader Mikail and Waseem Hantish and were returning to Ajdabiya.
According to the colleagues, they were stopped at a checkpoint in Sirte where one of the checkpoint guards examined their papers. They started to drive off, having been allowed to pass, but the guard walked up to the car and fired into it killing Suleiman instantly. It is reported that the assailant, who it is claimed was drunk, has been arrested.
Sulaiman had recently joined Ajdabiya News and was said to be dedicated in his work and to his profession.
