There were no injuries.
Local people have protested at the attack.
A week ago, a car filled with ammunition and explosives, blew up in the town. It was said that a grenade had been thrown into the vehicle.
At the beginning of March, the head of the security committee in the town, Colonel Mohammed Al-Hassi, was shot dead outside a petrol station in the town. He was also the head of Derna’s anti-drugs unit and had cracked down hard on local drug smugglers during and before the revolution. He was also investigating the activities of two of the brigades at the time of his death. [/restrict]
