The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced that a Libyan investment forum is to be held in Dubai on . . .[restrict]7 May.
The announcement follows a top level Dubai delegation visit Tripoli last week led by the chairman of the Dubai chamber, Abdul Rahman Saif Al-Ghurair, and included the chairman of Dubai Investments, the deputy commander of Dubai Police, the chairman of Dubai’s municipality, the general manager of Dubai e-government as well as a group of Dubai businessmen and officials.
It is hoped that the forum will be attended by both UAE and Libyan government officials and businessmen.
There will be workshops on infrastructure, construction, finance, tourism and oil and gas well as a presentation on how to do business in Libya.
Earlier this month, Etisalat, the Dubai-based telecom firm, announced it was seeking a licence to operate n Libya or invest in one of its existing operators.
