Tripoli, 29 November 2013:
Teaching will resume at Tripoli University tomorrow morning, after two weeks of strikes.
The strike action was . . .[restrict]in protest over the deaths of seven students during demonstrations in Gharghour and to keep pressure on the government and the General National Congress (GNC) to cleanse the capital of militias.
The university said that the decision to resume study was in response to ongoing efforts to remove all armed groups from Tripoli, in accordance to GNC Decision No. 27.
The university announced yesterday that the seven students killed in the Gharghour protests on 15 November would be awarded posthumous honorary degrees. [/restrict]
