Tripoli, 3 June 2013:
Justice Minister, Salah Bashir Al-Marghani today confirmed the widely-expected decision, that Libya would be appealing the . . .[restrict]International Criminal Court’s refusal to allow a local trial for Saif Al-Islam on charges of crimes against humanity, and its demand that Saif be handed over into its custody.
This is one of the two options that were open to Libya following Friday’s ICC ruling. The second was to lodge a fresh submission to the court that the trial be conducted in Libya. [/restrict]
