The new LD 20 bank . . .[restrict]note will be put into circulation on Sunday, 31 March, according to a statment from the Central Bank of Libya.
The new note, which is orange coloured, shows a school in Ghadames on the front and Al-Ateeq mosque in Oujlah on the reverse. The reverse is written in English.
Until now only the new LD 1 note has made it appearance, but all the Qaddafi regime bank notes are being replaced.
The Central Bank has cautioned people not to the new bank notes in any way. Many old LD 1 notes have had Qaddafi’s image inked out or in some cases even cut out. [/restrict]
