Tripoli, 30 December:
Official forces of the Libya Shield 251 Brigade were involved in armed clashes in Shegega, a district of Obari . . .[restrict]in southern Libya, leading to a number of injuries and the death of at least two brigade members yesterday.
Abdulaziz Abdullah, head of the Wadi Alajal (Obari) Local Council reported to Libya Al-Ahrar TV that the brigade was called in to investigate a local incident when the persons wanted for questioning, hiding in a house, opened fire on the brigade.
The head of the council was not clear as to the cause of the local incident nor the exact number of injured. He said that investigations were continuing. [/restrict]
