The American Embassy has launched an online English-language club to encourage Libyan youngsters to improve their English communication skills.
The . . .[restrict]club, which is aimed at people between the age of 16 and 17 who can speak and write English at an intermediate level, will hold weekly online meetings supervised by a native English speaker.
Candidates will need to submit a short English essay of between 150 and 200 words explaining why they should be selected, with membership initially restricted to 12 students.
Prospective members will need to have a computer with access to the internet as well as a webcam, microphone and a headset.
All members will have to participate in the course for at least eight weeks.
