Beida, 25 April 2015:
Ghiblis (sand storms) and high winds have ripped across much of northern Cyrenaica today reducing visibility . . .[restrict]and causing severe disruption. Labraq airport has had to close until further notice.
“ There were flights this morning, then bad weather forced a complete stop,” airport manager Abubaker Al-Obaidi said.
Elsewhere, services have also been hit as a result of the strong winds and high temperatures. Benghazi has been particularly hit, forcing residents to stay indoors and turn up the air conditioning. The one benefit is that it has also reduced fighting. [/restrict]
