Tripoli, 14 April:
Deputy Health Minister, Omran Turbi, has called February’s incident in which the oxygen supply was cut off at Benghazi’s . . .[restrict]Hawari hospital an act of sabotage. He said it had been done by “hidden hands” and that the intention was to damage the reputation of the country’s healthcare service.
At least two patients in the intensive care unit died from asphyxiation due to lack of oxygen following a power failure on 28 February.
Following the incident, public prosecutors in Benghazi investigating the incident. However, they have not yet released their report.
