Tripoli, 23 November 2013:
A boutique four-star hotel, the Awal, just . . .[restrict]off Tripoli’s Omar Mokhtar Street has been voted the very best in the capital.
The leading international travel portal TripAdvisor praises the 28-room hotel for its high standards of accommodation, hospitality and cleanliness. The award is based entirely on the ratings of guests. Among posted comments was the experience that the hotel was welcoming, charming and modern.
Awal Hotel marketing manager, Raymond Bonnici told the Libya Herald: “We are a boutique hotel. What we lack in size, we make up in quality and service. And being small, we can be friendly and make a point of remembering our guests’ names and their preferences. The majority of people who stay with us are business people, who value our location in the heart of the city’s commercial district”.
“We offer a suite of business services, including cabled and wi-fi internet access throughout the hotel, printing and copying services. We can arrange airport transfers, transport during a guest’s stay and can even assist with processing of Libyan entry visas”.
One visitor from Malta told this paper: “Whenever I can, I stay at the Awal. While it cannot cater for big delegations for instance, that is actually one of its strengths, because it means that it is informal and quiet, just the place for busy business people”.
