Tripoli, 23 July 2013:
An explosion has been reported outside an apartment block near Tripoli Tower in the capital’s downtown area.
A car . . .[restrict]is said to have been destroyed in the incident this afternoon, suggesting a car bomb attack. However, there are reports circulating on social media sites claiming that an RPG rocket was launched, targeted either at Tripoli Tower, which houses many company offices as well as the British and Canadian embassies, or at the nearby Corinthia Hotel, but that it missed and hit the car instead.
So far there is no confirmation of the attack, let alone the target. [/restrict]
