Tripoli, 26 January 2013:
A new shipping line will be established between Libya and Tunisia, according to Tunisia’s Transport Minister.
The line will be officially opened on 17 February by the Tunisian shipping company Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation (CTN), the Tunisian news agency TAP reported.
The new shipping line was one of the focuses of a meeting yesterday, Friday, between Tunisian Transport Minister Abdelkarim Harouni and Libyan Transport Minister Abdel-Qader Mohamed Ahmed.
The ministers also discussed co-operation between CTN and the Libyan National Shipping Company on chartering ships to transport crude oil between the ports of Skhira and Bizerte. [/restrict]
