The Minister of Transport, and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, met in Tripoli last Wednesday (1 April) with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Guven Begiç, in the context of supporting travel and enhancing trade between the two countries.
The Tripoli government said the key outcomes of Al-Shahoubi’s meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya were:
– Follow-up on the procedures taken to implement the outcomes of the Libyan-Turkish Joint Committee meetings.
– Discussion of ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the air transport sector and trade.
– Emphasis on the importance of increasing the number of flights between Libyan and Turkish airports.
– Exploring the possibility of opening new air routes connecting Sabha with Turkish airports.
