Libya’s Ministry of Oil and Gas announced yesterday that, in a move that promotes a culture of innovation and supports scientific research in the energy sector, it is launching the Libya Energy Innovation and Research Award.
The award aims to support and encourage researchers, academics, and professionals in Libya’s oil, gas, and energy sector. It seeks to promote a culture of scientific research and highlight national efforts in developing technical, engineering, and economic knowledge related to the energy sector.
The award also aims to discover and empower national talent and build a specialized research community with which the Ministry of Oil and Gas can directly engage. This community will contribute to supporting innovation and addressing the challenges of production, energy transition, efficiency, and sustainability.
Furthermore, the award aims to develop a pool of researchers and innovators who can be nominated in the future to participate in specialized regional and international awards and conferences.

First Place: Honorary Shield + Certificate of Excellence + 10,000 Libyan Dinars
Second Place: Certificate of Appreciation + 7,000 Libyan Dinars
Third Place: Certificate of Appreciation + 5,000 Libyan Dinars
