LIDCO continues construction on 8,500 car multistorey carpark as part of Tripoli Gate 1 Project

The state Libyan Investment and Development Company (LIDCO) announced last Wednesday (18 February) that construction is continuing at the 8,500-plus vehicle multistorey carpark at (zone 6 of) its Tripoli Gate One (Bab Trablus) Project.

It said that within the urban planning of the project, traffic management was given a top priority, a fact reflected in the ongoing implementation phases.

Each underground parking space covers approximately 18,000 square meters, in addition to dedicated parking for each building, providing practical solutions that maintain smooth traffic flow within the project.

It comes within an integrated system of ground and underground parking, carefully distributed across the various areas of the project which enhances traffic efficiency and keeps pace with the requirements of modern urban development.

The Tripoli Gate project spans nearly 91 hectares, comprising 127 buildings divided into 16 main zones, connected by an internal road network covering 137.165 km², with an average width of 24 meters.

The infrastructure, LIDCO added, can also be expanded in the future, thus reducing congestion within the project.
