The Tripoli based Libyan Ministry of Transport announced today that the Founding Committee of the Libyan Aviation Holding Company held a meeting chaired by the Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, as part of the government’s efforts to revitalize the transportation sector and keep pace with developments related to infrastructure development.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Executive Team for PM’s Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea, along with several committee members and experts. The committee reviewed the completed implementation steps in accordance with the government’s vision for establishing the Libyan Aviation Holding Company, which aims to support the national economy, diversify revenue sources, provide high-quality services, and leverage Libya’s strategic geographic location as a unique investment opportunity.

The meeting also discussed partnerships with international consulting firms and global companies to ensure the application of the highest standards of governance, sustainability, and performance quality. Additionally, the committee reviewed the results of cooperation with Boeing within the framework of the Libyan-American strategic partnership, which will enhance the company’s technical and operational capabilities.

The committee’s work is aligned with the government’s efforts to launch several airports and strengthen the air transport sector’s infrastructure, contributing to the sustainable and effective development of the civil aviation system in Libya and supporting the government’s economic and service-related objectives.
