As part of its ongoing efforts to boost production capacity, Akakus Oil Operations announced last Saturday (5 July) that it had successfully completed drilling work on the new B-26H well. The initial tests of the well led to a total production rate of 1,750 barrels per day.
Akakus said the well comes as part of the development drilling plan for the Sharara field, confirming the company’s commitment to improving the efficiency of operations and making the best use of available resources, with the support of national expertise and specialised technical teams.
This success adds to the series of successes achieved in 2025, Akakus said.
