The Libya Business Council (LBC) received last Tuesday (28 January) at its Tripoli headquarters an official delegation from Tunisia’s Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIS). The delegation was accompanied by several Tunisian companies specialised in the food industry sector that were participating in the Libya Food Exhibition held at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds from 26 to 29 January.

Developing private sector partnerships
The LBC reported that the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the LBC and Sfax Chamber, with a focus on leveraging the LBC’s business platform to develop partnerships between Libyan and Tunisian businessmen.

Trade facilitation in the food industry sector
They also discussed trade facilitation in the food industry sector and the administrative and technical challenges facing investors, which contribute to strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries.

Invitation to attend MEDIBAT 2025
The LBC also received an invitation from the Sfax Chamber to participate in the 18th edition of the Mediterranean Building Salon, MEDIBAT 2025, which will be held from 21-24 May 2025, at the Exhibition Centre in Sfax – Tunisia.

This LBC said meeting with the Sfax Chamber comes within the framework of the Council’s keenness to support the private sector and develop regional trade relations to enhance economic integration and cooperation between Libya and Tunisia.
