Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported today that the country’s oil and gas production indicators continue to rise daily, recording a total today of 1,572,679 of oil, gas and condensate.
Crude oil and condensate production indicators alone increased by 4,775 barrels, while gas production increased by 776 barrels equivalent, the NOC reported.
The average production of crude oil and condensate reached 1,372,903 barrels per day, while gas production reached 199,776 barrels equivalent per day.
Previous production increase announcements
It will be recalled that on 14 November, the NOC had reported that crude oil and condensate production had reached 1,374,118 barrels per day (bpd) and 202,983 barrels equivalent of gas, bringing the total to 1,577,101 barrels.
The NOC had reported on 5 November a new record production figure of 1,364,438 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and 208,000 barrels of gas equivalent.
Increasing production to 2 million bpd by 2027
The NOC said for about two months, the oil fields have been witnessing diligent work around the clock, with the aim of implementing its strategy to increase production rates to 2 million barrels per day by 2027.
The NOC added that this target could be reached subject to continuing to receive the necessary budget for operation throughout this period without obstacles or any delay beyond its control and its subsidiaries.
