Speaking at the eighth Cabinet Meeting of 2023 held at the Al-Nasr Hall complex (formerly Rixos Centre) in Tripoli yesterday, the Tripoli based Libyan prime minister Abdel Hamid Aldabaiba announced that Libya is to establish a new maritime zone subject to the authority of the Libyan state and extending the maritime borders from 12 to 24 nautical miles.
This, he continued, will be done in a manner that does not violate international laws or cause an attack on the maritime borders of other countries.
