The Director of the Media Office of the Libyan Holding Company for Communications (LPTIC), Osama Al-Shaibani, confirmed in an exclusive statement to Libya Herald, that a meeting was held to determine the schedule for the implementation of the plan and to identify the various technical needs to launch the digital government services platform for citizen services.

This is based on the decision (16 December 2022) of Tripoli-based Libyan Prime Minister, Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba related to the implementation of the secure government network for data exchange and the launch of the digital transformation plan in Libya for citizen services.

The meeting yesterday was held in the presence of the Chairman of LPTIC, Mohamed Bin Ayad, the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, the Chairman of the General Information Authority, Abdel Basset Al-Baour and Director of the Media and Government Communication Department in the Prime Ministry, Ahmed Al-Fitouri.

Al-Shaibani said during the meeting, the platform project was discussed, which includes more than 600 digital services for citizen services, of which 113 are priority services that will be provided by more than 30 ministries digitally, as part of the plan to provide digital services to citizens according to the digital transformation plan in Libya.

He explained that LPTIC will implement the digital services platform project, in coordination with the General Authority for Information, to ensure the provision of high-quality services, primarily to citizens, but also to public institutions and bodies.
