Tripoli launches air ambulance service for general public – with online booking

Libya’s Air Ambulance reported Wednesday that it had successfully transported 58 intensive care cases inside and outside the borders of Libya. This, it says, reflects the high skills and experience of its teams.

All departments and cadres that follow it were distinguished by their professionalism and craftsmanship when they responded immediately to all calls and transported patients quickly and safely.

This achievement is a testament to the team’s capabilities and commitment to providing comprehensive and outstanding healthcare anywhere and anytime.

The medical flights originated in several Libyan cities with the majority (33) from Tripoli’s Mitiga airport. The top foreign destination was 39 flights to Tunis, followed by Amman, Jordan (4), Cairo (3), Istanbul (2) and Milano (2).

It will be recalled that on 26 March this year, the Libyan Air Ambulance Service announced that it has signed a contract to purchase three Bell helicopters (models Bell 429 and Bell 505) equipped with the latest technologies and medical equipment.
