Libyan Iron and Steel (LISCO) exports to 38 countries – 136,000 tons to be exported in coming months

The Misrata-based state Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) reported Thursday that exports continue at a pace to various countries of the world, and that it expects to export 136,000 tons of products in the next few months.

A total of 64,000 tons of Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI)
It reported that from its port today 10,000 tons of hot briquetted iron (HBI) began to be exported, and that export operations will continue until they reach a total of 64,000 tons.

72,000 tons of reinforcing steel
According to the General Manager of Marketing, Walid Bleblo, an agreement has been reached between the company’s External Marketing Department and a number of foreign companies to export 72,000 tons of reinforcing steel to various countries of the world.

He reported that the first shipment of this agreement, consisting of 12,000 tons, is expected to be exported at the end of January, with the remaining quantities to be exported successively the first week of February.

Exports growing to 38 countries
Bleblo said the endless activity witnessed by the company’s port confirms and consolidates the stability process that the company is experiencing in terms of exporting its products to various continents of the world in the current period.
