The first international fair on re-constructing and developing Libya . . .[restrict]opens on Sunday, 19 February. The three-day event — it ends on 21 February — is being held at the Tripoli International Fair ground in Tripoli. It is also first exhibition to be held there since the revolution.
Organised by Tripoli-based exhibition promoter Al Khalan, the fair is being sponsored by the NTC and the ministries of labour and electricity. Companies from 27 countries are participating. The largest contingents come from Italy and France.
The aim of the exhibition, according to the promoters, is to showcase products and equipment, services and latest technology not only needed urgently for reconstruction projects but also for the needs of the next three years. The focus is on infrastructure as well as housing, services, health care, education, IT, tourism and the oil and gas sector.
A number of foreign exhibitors are expected who will be looking to establish joint ventures with Libyan businessmen and companies. [/restrict]
