Tunis, 23 February 2017:

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) in Tripoli has taken delivery of another LD 250 million, flown in yesterday to Mitiga airport from the British printers.

According to the CBL, it is the fourth shipment this month, the hope being that by putting more cash into the system it will reduce the liquidity problems being faced by so many ordinary people,

The money will distributed to commercial banks throughout Libya, but will focus on the hardest-hit regions. LD 40 million is being sent to Sebha, struggling to regain economic and political stability.
