Libya’s Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced today the successful return to production of Well EE1HR-80 at Majid Field following a shutdown that lasted over nine years.
It said this return to production comes as part of the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) strategic plan and the efforts of the national workforce.
Zero associated water
AGOCO reported that production tests yielded an actual flow rate of 5,322 barrels of oil per day via natural flow, with a complete absence of associated water (0% water cut).
CAMCO, Baker Hughes and directional drilling
This achievement was realized using directional drilling and re-entry techniques in collaboration with CAMCO and Baker Hughes, reflecting operational efficiency and contributing effectively to boosting production rates and supporting the oil sector.
