Brega Oil Marketing Company announced last Thursday (27 November) that it is expanding its Mitiga Airport Fuel Depot’s capacity from 360,000 to 760,000 litres.
The expansion will see a significant increase following the arrival of four new 100,000-liter tanks dedicated to aviation fuel, which will enhance the flow of supply and increase operational capacity to serve air traffic. Mitiga is currently Tripoli’s only operational airport.
Brega said this comes as part of its efforts to improve its operational capabilities and develop its infrastructure, and strategic direction to develop its depots, improve safety and quality standards, and ensure the readiness of its facilities to meet modern operational requirements and enhance the efficiency of services provided.
