The Attorney General’s Office reported last Monday (24 November) that the Tripoli Court of Appeals ruled in its last session to sentence nine defendants who used devices at the Zlitan Steel Factory for mining cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin and its variations – in violation of the legislation.
The court imposed three-year prison sentence on them, obliging them to return the benefits obtained in violation of the legislation, and ordering the confiscation of their devices and equipment.
