SMEs Department launches “Libya Innovates 2025” competition – coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship Week

Libya’s SME Department discusses with GIZ cooperation in SME development

Libya’s Tripoli based SMEs Department announces the launch of registration for the “Libya Innovates 2025” competition.

The department said that at a moment when the Libyan spirit of creativity intersects with the pulse of the global entrepreneurial movement, the national platform that opens growth prospects for innovative entrepreneurs, and places Libya at the heart of the global entrepreneurship event, opens.

This edition of the competition, it reminded, coincides with Global Entrepreneurship Week, embodying Libya’s commitment to supporting innovation and building a generation of entrepreneurial projects capable of competing and growing.

The SME Department said the competition is a chance for participants to be among Libya’s entrepreneurial elite.

It called on startup owners who has moved beyond the idea stage, and have reached a prototype or minimum viable product (MVP), and are ready to step into growth and sustainability.

The targeted areas are:

  • Technology
  • Green Economy
  • Recycling
  • Blue Economy

Participants will be offered:

• An intensive bootcamp for the top 40 projects.

• One-on-one mentorship sessions with experts and investors.

• A final competition will be held to select the top 3 projects across Libya.

• Cash and in-kind prizes, funding opportunities, incubation, and specialized follow-up.
