Germany’s GIZ Libya Programme have announced a series of training sessions within the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024 in November. The training, GIZ said, will be aimed at empowering Libyan entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant culture of entrepreneurship across municipalities.
The programme, in cooperation with the Tripoli based Ministry of Local Government, will feature training sessions, mentorship opportunities, a pitching competition and an award ceremony to celebrate the most innovative ideas.
Looking back on 2022, GIZ said the 2022 Entrepreneurship Training Camp had culminated in a dynamic competition where 15 entrepreneurs from diverse regions presented innovative business concepts. Noteworthy proposals included a medical waste management initiative and a centre to support local business development. A total of 200 Libyans had participated, showcasing the tremendous potential within the Libyan entrepreneurial community.
