Several credible Libyan media outlets have today reported that Prime Minister Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba has issued a decision (No. 689/2025) appointing Masoud Suleiman Musa as Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
It will be recalled that Masoud Suleiman Musa has been Acting Chairman of the NOC since 16 January 2025, succeeding its former Chairman, Farhat Bengdara, who had purportedly resigned for health reasons.
The leaked decision is dated 29 September 2025.
