The Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health / Acting Minister, Mohamed Al-Ghouj, issued Circular No. (3) of 2025 yesterday on regulating the acceptance by the Ministry and its departments of any gifts, donations or facilities from external parties without prior written permission. This included furniture, fittings, stationary, equipment, visas, subscriptions etc.
In any case, the circular stressed that any donations or gifts must be processed institutionally through the relevant departments to prevent independence and any conflict of interest.
The Ministry said the move comes as part of its efforts to enhance transparency, preserve state institutions and prevent the exploitation of public office for any personal purposes.
